News Groups

NEWS GROUPS - Here is a list of news discussion groups you can choose from. If you are unfamiliar with news groups, see our explanation at the bottom of this page:

  • news:alt.dads-rights
  • news:alt.dads-rights.unmoderated
  • news:alt.mens-rights
  • news:soc.men (this is a large group)
  • news:alt.child-support
  • news:alt.feminazis
  • news:alt.politics.sex

NEWS GROUPS - You can read or respond to an existing group. Typically, the files making up a particular news group are provided by news services. Some services are created by volunteers, others are created by academics or commercial enterprise organizations. News groups are forums for discussion. The inclusion of various news groups (and the particular files that make them up) are at the discretion of each Internet service provider/system administrator. If you find that you can not display the contents of a particular file, or it shows zero contents, then, you want to complain to your Internet service provider. The groups we have recommended (this is not an all inclusive list) are available widely and "should" be on every system. However, we have found exceptions. Some software programs (like Spry Mosaic) will provide you with a special feature to look for and access a wide variety of topics. However, if you know the name of a news group you can use your World Wide Web browser to display it. Simply key in (as a URL "Location") what you see above. For example, key: news:soc.men. (Do not key any of the slashes or bullets) that we show above. Make sure that your browser is configured so that it can find the name of the news server at your local provider. You should call your local provider to get that name. It is apt to be different from what you are using to access mail or the World Wide Web.
